Chapter 3: The Hands-Only CPR method is CPR without the rescue breaths, and is also effective for individuals who may not remember all the steps of conventional CPR.

Chapter 5: A choking emergency is when an obstruction blocks the airway and prevents air from getting to the lungs. Common causes include: consumption of alcohol, swallowing hard objects, not chewing food properly, talking or laughing while eating and / or poor fitting dental work.
Chapter 7: Anaphylaxis is a life-threatening allergic reaction. Anaphylaxis requires immediate medical treatment, including the epinephrine injection and a trip to the hospital.

Chapter 8: First aid actions if you experience a sting emergency: get an epi-pen if a person is allergic to the sting; for a bee sting, scrape away the stinger and poison sac with a dull edge (don't squeeze the sac); apply ice for up to 20 minutes.
